Burr Walnut And Marquetry Round Centre Table
Very decorative English 19th century burr walnut and marquetry centre table or dining table with an ebonised moulded edge and supported by a pedestal base, circa 1880.
Wonderful colour and grain to the burr walnut and the floral marquetry running the way around the table top is lovely. Some aged restoration to the very central marquetry and also you will have noticed there is an old shrinkage trace running across the table join, all of which are totally stable and not unusual on a table with so much inlaid burr walnut.
The table will make an ideal large hall centre table, but is of a size that will seat 6 for a very comfortable dinner.
The table top does come off the pedestal base, so it is very easy to move and deliver.
Measuring:
28 1/2 inches or 72.5cm high
53 1/4 inches or 135cm diameter Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
