Burr Walnut And Marble Top Commode
Very decorative 19th century marble top commode with this striking figured burr walnut, circa 1840.
Impressive piece of antique furniture and with the four full width drawers, offers lots of storage without compromising on style!
The drawers are opened using the key as a drawer pull, so if you would rather have some handles fitted, let me know and I can arrange this for you…
Wonderful rich colour and grain to the burr walnut which works so well with the original charcoal and white marble top, shaped and moulded edge to match those chamfered corners of the chest of drawers.
Measuring:
37 1/2 inches or 95 cm high
51 1/2 inches or 131 cm wide
23 3/4 inches or 60 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
