Black Marble Mantel Clock (France, c. 1880)
A small, black and rouge marble mantel antique clock. The polished slate case has a break arch top and has rouge marble moldings and an inset panel (the line is figuring in the marble only). It has a thick bevel edge glass with an enamel dial signed by the retailer Dixon. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and was made by Japy Frere.
Current Condition
The case is in good condition, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this antique clock striking please email us.

19.00cm wide 26.00cm high 13.00cm deep (3.54 inches wide 10.24 inches high 5.12 inches deep) We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
