Attractive Large Burr Walnut Dressing Table
A lovely burr walnut dressing table. We date this dressing table to the 1930s.
The dressing table sits on six cabriole legs with pad feet, four at the front, two at the rear. The dressing table has a low top surface to allow better use of the mirrors.
The dressing table has a shapely front with a central drawer over a very low knee hole area. This is flanked by two drawers at each side, the drawers are fitted with decorative drop handles on shapely backplates. The drawers are fitted with locks (key supplied). The two top side drawers have no handles and open using the key.
There is a pull out slide above the drawers at each side.
There is a very large framed front to back swivelling mirror with a bevelled edge and shapely to flanked with a large hinged mirror at each side.
The dressing table has an overall height of 73" (185cm) including mirror, a table height of 25" (64cm), a width of 50" (127cm) and a depth of 24" (61cm).
This lovely dressing table remains in very good solid condition. There are some very small veneer chips and some wear to some edges from past use. There is a small age split to the center front top surface and the mirror has some minor foxing.
This remains a very stylish and elegant dressing table which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
