Arts and Crafts Jesson & Birkett Brass Chandelier with Matching Vaseline Glass Shades

A stylish and rare fully complete Edwardian Arts and Crafts brass 3 arm chandelier by Jesson & Birkett fully complete with original matching set of 'jellyfish' vaseline glass shades c1905.

Constructed with typical Jesson and Birkett plant form tendrils, this most beautiful and enchanting highly organic stylised design is fully complete with original matching set of striped vaseline glass shades, hanging chain and ceiling rose.

It is rare for a chandelier of this period by a leading arts and crafts maker to have its original vaseline glass shades retaining its original patina, the chandelier would work well in both period and modern interiors due to its size.

Size: Height approx. 65 cm from ceiling rose x approx. 45 cm diameter to edge of shades. Diameter of ceiling rose approx. 10cm. The chandelier would work in both more modern and traditional homes.

Date: Circa 1905.

Condition: In excellent condition retaining its original patina, the chandelier has been re-wired with antique style braided black silk flex and is in full working order ready to install and comes complete with its original hanging chain and ceiling rose. (Takes 3 x B22 bayonet bulbs).
