Arts and Crafts Salon Suite c1880-1900.
This is an Arts and Crafts late Victorian Salon Suite. this lovely set includes a two seater sofa, two elbow chairs and 3 side chairs. They are all solid oak and have been upholstered in William Morris "Golden Lily Minor". They have shaped legs and ornate shaped and fretworked splats that all match. The tops of the back rails have scrolled tops and moulded top rails as well. This is a lovely and rare example of a salon suite. It has to be remembered that when ordering in the Victorian period the customer ordered what they wanted and required and it was made for that customer after it was purchased. This is a great set and a real eye catcher.
