Arts & Crafts Japanese chair for Liberty.
Arts & Crafts Japanese chair carved profusely with flowers.
These chairs along with antique tables and plant stands were imported by Liberty's as part of their exotic range.
I have read that they were made by fishermen when they could not go to see rather like Newlyn copper but with no certainty.
This chair if offered in good condition and is firm to sit on.
Height 95cms. Width 48.5cms. Depth 42cms. Seat height 46cms.
