We are pleased to offer for sale this unusual Arts & Crafts Copper and Brass Snuff Box in the form of a ladies heeled Shoe, with a cricketing connection. The shoe is mainly in brass, with a copper elegantly shaped oecap and front upper, with the sole covered in copper with nail holes for eyelets. The lid of the box has two embossed figures, one batsman and the other a fielder.

This was made during the Arts and Crafts period of 1880-1900, a time where the most famous cricketer W. G. Grace was at the height of his lengthy career.

Length: 4 3/4 inches - 11.45cm

Height: 2 inches - 5cm

Depth 1 3/8 inches - 3.5cm:

Materials: Copper and Brass

Condition: In very good clean condition, with only the odd very tiny sign of age and use.. The lid fits and opens perfectly.
