Art Nouveau Stuart & Son circular footed glass vase with applied trailed green glass 'tadpole ' design embellishment a decorative style they were recognised for. The vase was produced in Stourbridge, a glass making centre of excellence chiefly due to the immigration of French Huguenot diaspora and peaked in the 19th century producing some of the finest glass in the world. The vase has a clear glass inner shaped for the support and arrangement of flowers and stamped Stuart and Son with a product no. PJ 637674. Circa 1910 and of English origin. This vase is in very good condition with age related surface scratches on the base. The flower support which is an addition to the vase and is not integral or essential has a tiny crack on the bottom of the tube. This is not visible when positioned inside the vase and can be seen in the last photoraph.
