Art Deco Walnut Double Bed Frame and Divan Base
A lovely double bed frame. We date this bed to the 1940s.
The bed comes in four sections, the head and footboards, the metal side rails and an upholstered divan base.
The head board sits on Queen Anne legs with claw and ball feet. The upholstered base sits within the side rails.
The headboard and footboard both have lovely walnut quartered veneer.
The headboard has a height of 46" (117cm) and the footboard a height of 32" (82cm), both by 57" (145cm) wide with an overall length 82” (209cm). The base will support a mattress 75" (191cm) long by 54" (137cm) wide.
This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, both bed frame and divan have only some very minor wear including minor wear to some edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
