This stylish compactum wardrobe is an original vintage piece dating from the 1920s/1930s. The wardrobe has nice shaped design that is in the art deco style, and is walnut-veneered. It consists of a hanging section on the left-had side with a shelf above, and a shelved section on the right-hand side with three pull-out slides over two drawers. The hanging section has double doors, the left-hand one of which has a mirror on the inside. The hanging section retains its original metal hanging rail and hooks. The left-hand and right-hand doors retain their original stylish brass art deco handles. The piece is supported on four short cabriole legs. The piece can be split down to aid with transportation if required - the hanging section and the shelved section split and come apart from the base. Further images are available. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and some areas of veneer damage and loss. The piece is overall slightly faded. There are some areas of old repair. On the inside top rail on the left and right-hand sides and at the top of the inside of the left and right-hand doors there is some quite heavy denting and damage to the woodwork. The right-hand door is missing its lock, and although the lock on the left-hand door is present there is no key. There is some scratching to the inside. Three of the door hinges are broken, one on the left-hand door and two on the right-hand door. Item code as527a035 / 11587 Status Sold
