“Still life of flowers and a Chinese vase”
Oil on board. (unframed) 65 cm x 82 cm. Signed and dated 1942
in good condition
Anton Wrabetz studied in 1891-1895 at the Vienna School of Applied Arts under Hrachowina and Minnigerode and from 1895 at the Vienna Academy under J.v.Berger and S.L'Allemand. In 1900-1901 Wrabetz was a pupil of Prof. A.Eisenmenger and in 1901-1905 studied at the Art School of Professor Franz Rumpler. He started his career as a portrait painter and then later painted mainly still life with flowers and fruits. From 1906 on Wrabetz regurarly exhibited at the Viennese "Kuenstlerhaus".
