A finely crafted 19th-century walnut desk or library armchair of elegant and sculptural form. The chair features a shaped, wrap-around back with a broad curved crest rail flowing seamlessly into open arms, supported by a decorative pierced splat with stylised foliate detail. The seat is solid and dished for comfort, displaying attractive grain and rich patina consistent with age and use.
