This antique solid mahogany open breakfront bookcase is of very fine quality & in good original condition. It dates from around the 1890-1900 period & there is some natural distressing of which we have tried to show & this only adds to the overall character. There's a blind fretwork pattern along the top front edge, the four uprights are reeded & sit on a strong plinth base. All the shelves are adjustable & the inside panelled back is polished. This bookcase is quite a substantial size & will consequently hold a surprising amount of books.
