Antique Victorian Mahogany Cylinder Top Writing Bureau and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a moulded edge to the top above a cylinder shaped front with original turned knob handles and which opens to reveal a row of eight pigeon holes with satinwood frieze tops and above a row of four satinwood fronted small drawers with original small knob handles. It has a sliding writing surface with three embossed faux leather writing skivers. The central skiver raises to reveal a storage space. To the base there are two moulded panelled doors with original brass handle and internally there are six drawers to the centre with brass handles and keys and a shelf to each side. The whole stands on a deep plinth base on castors.

Measures 48" high x desk height 32" x 24" deep x 48" wide

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
