This is an antique oak stool dating to the early 20th century c.1910.
Of Arts and Crafts origins, this piece is constructed in choice cuts of English oak, the shaped legs joined by a pegged, arched stretcher with plain seat rails.
This modest stool offers a simplistic beauty and benefits from a needlepoint seat pad decorated with a tapestry of floral garlands in earth tones.
