Antique Silver Basting Spoon Eley, Fearn & Chawner
Here we have for sale an extremely elegant and fine quality early 19th Century, George III period silver basting or gravy spoon by the well regarded firm of silversmiths, William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, the spoon has a delightful hand engraved period crest in form of a cockerel near to the terminus of the handle and is in fine condition for its age.

Condition report: In fine condition for its age of 211 years, with the usual minor age related wear of minor marks, surface scratches and small slightly deeper scratches to edge of bowl which only noticeable upon very close inspection tarnish marks, the spoon has nice crisp hallmarks and lovely period crest which displays minimal wear, overall a superb example by a desirable firm of silversmiths.
