Antique Scottish Provincial Silver & Horn Quaich
A RARE ANTIQUE SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL SILVER & HORN QUAICH "SGUAB AS 'I".
A very good Scottish Provincial Horn & Silver Quaich, unmarked but most likely made by William Dunningham & Co. of Aberdeen. This type of Quaich is very typical of the type of item they manufactured.
The base of the Quaich with a silver disc that is engraved with the Gaelic motto "Sguab As 'I".
The lugs also have applied silver discs, one engraved with a thistle, the other with a Celtic cross.
It measures 68mm in diameter and 142mm in length across the lugs. The height is 23mm
