This is an antique needlework sampler. An English, framed embroidered panel, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850. A charming example of mid 19th century embroidery, presented tastefully behind glass.

The needlepoint sampler featuring multiple styles of alphabet and numbers
Lower half bears a hand stitched poem, entitled Sinners Before God by Jane Taylor
