Always popular are these antique bread forks, so very elegant on the table to serve all sorts of things.
They are particularly sought-after in sterling silver rather than silver plate and even more desirable with these beautifully iridescent Mother of Pearl Handles.
The handle is beautifully carved and attached to the handle with a highly decorative ferrule.
There is a full English hallmark for Sheffield 1906, making this an Edwardian example. The makers initials J.D. & S are also present, for the well renowned silversmith, James Dixon and Sons.
Excellent condition, measuring 7 3/4" long.
