This is an antique McKellen's patent Field Camera. An English, mahogany and brass plate camera with accessories and lens, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Fascinating and rare Victorian period camera - a treat for the collector
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original condition
Select stocks present rich russet hues, accompanied by warm brass tones
Leather bellows in good condition, with minimal creasing and closing smoothly
Opens out from a usefully compact folded form, staying open with twist catches
Features one of the titular triple patents - a turntable tripod mounting plate to the base
Replete with a screw-in lens and a trio of book-form dark slide plates
