Antique English Silver Visiting Card Case - 1896
A handsome Victorian sterling silver card case, solid made from a good gauge of English silver.
The case is beautifully decorated with shaped edging and a vacant shield-shaped cartouche to the front. The hinged lid opens to reveal the full English hallmark for the highly collectible Chester assay office struck in 1896 the makers mark is also present for the silversmiths, William Neale.
Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 2 7/8".
