Description:
This is a fine quality antique Art Deco pedestal desk, decorated in burr and figured walnut, comprising 7 drawers and a glass panel top, which is 3ft 9-inches wide, circa 1930, in excellent condition. This luxury walnut desk boasts a classic “skyscraper” design visible in the shape of the stepped up-stand, with the recessed central well and pedestals. The Art Deco office desk, comprises a 6mm glass panel top with a polished edge. The glass panel top can be removed if not required. The desk structure comprises a large central drawer, flanked by three drawers in each pedestal. The mahogany lined dovetailed drawers are fitted with green jade stone and brushed brass knobs. This Art Deco writing desk boasts classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the curved corners, clean lines to the tops, the drawer knobs and feet. This is a single piece desk which does not dismantle. It is unusual to see a desk of this design and shape in the marketplace.
The Art Deco walnut desk boasts a lovely mellow golden walnut colour, with a mixture of figured and burr walnut timbers. It has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This Art Deco glass top desk would look superb in a variety of rooms from the work place to the home office, and would suit either a contemporary or traditional setting. The Art Deco office desk would certainly grace any home or office and be a great investment, as it is extremely functional.

Condition This is a fine quality antique Art Deco pedestal desk, decorated in burr and figured walnut, comprising 7 drawers and a glass panel top, which is 3ft 9-inches wide, circa 1930, in excellent condition. This walnut desk has been adapted from a dressing table. The Art Deco desk has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. This luxury Art Deco desk includes a new 6mm toughened glass panel top, with polished edges. There are no stains or scratches to the top of the desk. The drawers are fitted with green jade stone and brushed brass knobs. This Art Deco home office desk boasts a lovely mellow walnut colour and patination which can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This Art Deco executive desk is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
