A pleasing large mahogany tapestry screen frame c1780.

Sweeping cabriole legs with wonderfully detailed carving robustly support a tapestry screen sliding frame.

A serpentine top and carved floral detail demonstrate the quality of the piece.

The rise and fall mechanism operates to one side with the original workings. The screen frame is in good antique condition.

This fine frame will look magnificent when complete with a tapestry needlepoint or other fabric centre piece.
