Offered for sale is this superb quality antique William IV / early Victorian mahogany telescopic dining table extending to approx 81" x 48" with two leaves. The rectangular top has rounded corners with a double edged moulded lip above turned and reeded shaped supports with original brass castors. The pull out extending mechanism works very smoothly and the table is secured with original twist clips. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1835 - 1840 and will seat 8 to 10 people. It is a fine quality above average table made from very dense mahogany with avery rare plum pudding grain. The table actually extends to 93" x 48" and could take another small leaf .
