An unused mid-century antique compact which is suitable as a handbag mirror or for loose face powder. This gorgeous, gleaming clean compact mirror is a highly reliable Stratton brand accessory. It is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The exacting standards put in place by the makers ensure that this stylish accessory will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The original mirror stickers are in place. The lid and inner lids are decorated with complex engraved designs. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The base has a finely engraved spiral. Measures 3" and weighs 91.2 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
