This is an antique bureau plat. A French, walnut and boxwood writing desk in Louis XV revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Beautiful revival homage to the celebrated Louis XV taste
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select walnut stocks show fine grain interest throughout
Striking light caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Traditional bureau plat form, with serpentine curvature
Generous quartered top with boxwood inlaid medallion and stringing borders
Wide central drawer dressed with a pair of brass drop pendant pulls
Standing upon tall cabriole legs, beneath shaped fascia accentuated with inlaid boxwood detail
