19TH CENTURY FRENCH ROSEWOOD LIBRARY BOOKCASE WITH ORMOLU AND GILDED WOOD MOULDINGS.

This delightful bookcase has 5 substantial and adjustable shelves with great depth and has the benefit of a deep drawer in the base. The door retains its original thick bevelled glass, surrounded by attractive gilded wood mouldings and a working key.

The back panels and drawer linings are all solid oak. The sides and front of the bookcase are veneered in attractive figured rosewood and retain a mellow antique patination. Seen here in our best showroom condition, having been checked, lightly refurbished and wax polished to show off the beauty of the Rosewood and gilding.
