A wonderful antique Black Forest antique jewellery box or cabinet with fabulous raised carved foliate panels and four elegant feet. The top has the most wonderful figural carving of a pair of St. Bernard dogs each with their original blue glass eyes.

The doors open to reveal a bank of drawers all retaining their original pale blue tufted silk lining, just beautiful. Dating to around 1890, the box remains in superb condition with a footprint measuring 13 /4" x 7" x 21" tall to top of carvings.
