This is a Late Arts & Crafts Oak Double Wardrobe c1900-15.  Riased on sleigh legs following the influence of the Scottish school on design in Britain after C.R. MacIntosh's metoric rise in the mid 1880's.  It has a large single drawer to the base with single door hinged on the right hand side.  The central beveled edge door has a moulding above with elongated carving to each flanking panel.  The upper cornice has an exagerated upper section echoing the influence of the Scottish School.  The drawer linings and backing panels are solid oak.  It comes into the drawer base, the main carcus and upper cornice and we also remove doors for moving as they are very heavy from this period.
