A delightful silver mounted hairpins box, dating from the elegant Edwardian era. This charming period piece would have adorned a Lady's dressing table. The body is polished oak, with two internal compartments, half moon shaped to assist the collection of the hairpins. The hinged lid is mounted in hallmarked silver with the word 'Hairpins' and twin panels featuring butterflies and flowers buds - very much in the Art Nouveau taste. A fine gift idea, both decorative and usable.
