Antique fine quality amboyna and ebonised 2-part pier display cabinet Victorian Aesthetic C1880. A very rare find with prolific detailed marquetry and decoration.
Solid and strong, with no loose joints. We have a key to the top section only.
Would look great in the right location! Old faded velour lining to lower section. Mirrored back to the top section with only light oxidation and minor age related imperfections, as most would want to see.
Overall maximum dimensions: 92cmW x 37cmD x 200cmH (100cmH top & 100cmH base)
Adjustable shelves in the top section 75cmW x 21cmD.
Shelves in the base bottom 82cmW x 27.5cmD x 40cmH space above, top 82cmW x 27.5cmD x 40H space above.
In good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, distortion, wear, imperfections, scratches etc., as one would expect with antique furniture and generally desirable. Just a few historic extinct woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure. Some decorative losses, but nothing very unsightly. May have had some form of upstand on the very top originally.
