Standing on wonderful Ormolu cast lions paw feet. ( Ormolu from French or moulu, signifying ground or pounded gold) is an English term, used since the 18th century for the gilding technique of applying finely ground, high-carat gold–mercury amalgam to an object of bronze, and for objects finished in this way)
Ormolu Patre to the mahogany uprights and a classical Ormolu plaque depicting an ancient Greek Horse and Chariot Scene.
Recently upholstered in a high quality classic fabric.
This piece is of French origin and was manufactured around 1860 and is of superb quality and condition.
