This superb quality antique clock has an 8 day movement with a silvered dial which is engraved with Roman numerals and the Latin inscription "Tempus fugit". The case is of the highest quality with flame mahogany door, bottom panel and bandings. It also has Ogee feet, carved moldings, stop fluted columns and gilt brass capitals. The clock is in very good and original condition, is a fine colour and patina and in fully working order, it also retains its original winding and case keys. 2600mm high, 600mm wide and 290mm deep. Circa 1820. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
