A superb carved eagle lectern. Constructed from solid oak, this lovely lectern is on an octagonal plinth base with a tapered column supporting a large and beautifully observed eagle with out spread wings and a book rest on its back. In very good and original condition. 1560mm high, 560mm wide and 440mm deep. Circa 1910. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
