A Superb 4 Glass Gilt Mantel Clock
A superb quality French four glass mantel clock. A decorative gilt case with bevelled glass panels. Foliate swag decorations surmounted by an urn vase and finial. Recessed base panels with rococo design fretwork and standing on bun feet. A convex enamel dial with floral chased decorations and fine gilt fretted hands. A double sided sunburst pendulum. An 8-day duration mechanism signed 'CVE' striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1900.
