A small 17th century Apothecary pestle and mortar, the mortar constructed from a hardwood possibly lignum vitae with the pestle being fruitwood.
The pieces have lots of ware and various old splits and restorations commiserate with age but otherwise has fantastic colour, patination and are in good condition.
