These open armchairs feature a rectangular padded back and seat covered in white calico, ready for reupholstering. The chairs are designed with down-swept, scrolled curved armrests that extend above a shell and foliate-carved apron. They rest on cabriole legs adorned with acanthus leaves, ending in scrolled, foliate-wrapped hoof feet. The legs are reinforced by an X-shaped stretcher brace for added stability.

 The Real Wood Furniture(Chris Baylis) has large showrooms in the Cotswolds, specialising in English Windsor chairs, but also stocking an eclectic mix of decorative and fine furniture, objects, garden pieces etc.
