This is an antique pair of French, Art Deco armchairs dating to c.1930.

A stunning pair of 1930's armchairs in classic Art Deco styling, this pair come walnut framed, raised on squat cabriole legs (all round) terminating in claw and ball feet. Skirted with a delicious shaped apron and sinuous arm risers, the frames are punctuated with well executed, carved details of shell motifs and acanthus leaves.

Finished in an emerald green velvet with matching brocade rope and trim, the upholstery is in good order from the early 20th century with few marks consistent with considerate use. The bases are strongly webbed and sprung, the arms and back panels well stuffed and the loose cushions feather filled for maximum comfort.

A very stylish and comfortable pair of chairs presented in good antique order, ideal for immediate use or recovering should you wish.
