A fine quality set of six early Victorian mahogany dining chairs. They have shaped top and centre rails with high quality carving. The chairs stand on finely turned front legs. These chairs are in excellent strong condition with a lovely original colour and patination. The drop in seats are in good condition and have been recently recovered. Sizes:18 ½ “(47cms) wide, 19”(48cms) deep, 35 ½ “(85cms) high. Seat height: 18”(46cms). Date circa 1840. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
