A Gypsy table by Howard & Sons
A late 19th century walnut Gypsy table by Howard & Sons. Raised on a simulated bamboo X-form base. The pentagonal top with molded edge and gilt highlights. Stamped: HOWARD & SONS on the underside. 640mm high, 710mm wide and 710mm deep. Circa 1890.

A table with similar characteristics was sold by Christies, 17th August 2010, sale number 5960, lot number 155. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
