A German Pine Blanket Box / Coffer
This lovely German Pine Box dates to 1890 and is in good solid condition. The box stands on bracket feet and is dovetail jointed all round. The box also benefits from having it's original blacksmith made carry handles and strap hinges with a candle box to the interior.
The box has recently been stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm honey patination.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the box, but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..
The box measures
43 inches wide max
22.75 inches deep max
23.75 inches high.
