Circa 1750. An unusual and stylish George II mahogany demi lune hinged top side table. The top in the finest Cuban mahogany opens to reveal a felt lined interior with a small pen slide with two small apertures each side. The simple frieze with escutcheon, the table rests on four lappeted turned tapering legs with foliate carving on the top and front, one of the back legs is hinged and swings out to support the table top when open. Wonderful colour and patination.
