Bearing all the hallmarks of a Gillows piece this small writing table is in lovely quality mahogany, has been expertly crafted and is of simple and elegant design. It stands on a tripod base with molded scroll legs on bun feet rising up to a turned and reeded column. The top has a cross grain frieze which conceals a single drawer within which is a pen tray and ink well compartments. The table in in excellent and original condition and is a good colour and patina with the exception of the top which has been sympathetically re-polished. 720mm high, 530mm wide and 530mm deep. Circa 1820.
