A Fine Early 18th Century Tripod Table.
A fine early 18th century tripod pedestal table with a bird cage top, circa 1700 - 1730.
The table is constructed from oak - the base having out swept - flat sided scrolled legs. The leg are dovetailed into the finely turned stem, terminating into a turned pendant below the legs. The top has a revolving bird cage which is removable via a sliding wedge. The top also tilts and retains its original locking mechanism.
The table top has some old marks commensurate with age, but has a fabulous colour and patination and is in excellent condition.
Height is 63cm (24.8inches)
Width is 60cm (23.6inches)
Depth is 60cm (23.6inches)
