A fine and high quality English yew wood windsor chair. Dating from the early 19th century this wonderful chair is in remarkable original condition. Made almost entirely from yew (the exceptions being the seat of elm and back legs of beech) it has all the features of the very best chairs of the period.
In excellent order, free from damage and worm, legs slightly worn down consistent with use and the charming addition of iron strengtheners to the hoop ends.
Featuring superb colour, crinoline stretcher and choice timber this is a lovely example of a much sought after design. This chair having a particularly comfortable proportions perfect for long evenings by the fire or at the dining table.
Strong and stable with gorgeous colour and in exceptional original condition.
These chairs are personal favourites of ours and are perfect for any room of the house.
