A lovely piece, a nineteenth century oak stool designed to be dual purpose, the top is made much longer than needed for a stool so as to double as an occasional table. The long sides with very little overhang so as to be comfortable to sit and the wear on the longer stretchers bears witness to that. The hand hold in the top also shows just how often it was moved around.
