A 17th Century High Back Oak Box Settle
An 17th Century High Back Oak Box Settle
The Settle has 4 intricately carved back panels, including its date of manufacture (1611) and further carving at the bottom the seat opens in 2 sections for storage
The bench is a real country piece with Shepherd’s crook arms, even these have small flowers carved on them.
The age of this piece is in no doubt as it is carved into the top rail, it is in good serviceable condition considering it is over 4 hundred years old
The settle is 42” high at the back and 65” wide, it is 20” deep
