5' Kingsize French paint and gilt bed with cane
Lovely late c19th French 5' kingsize bed in original paint and gilt with cane panels and includes the existing supporting base, but not the mattress.
Very decorative bed and in good original condition. The cane panels are all as they should be, some losses to the original paint as you would expect and can see, but it has a great original look to the typical French sage green tone.
The bed has its original, matching side rails. The centre of which are carved and gilded to match the bottom centre of the footboard panel.
The bed fully dismantles for easy moving and delivery.
Included in the sale of the bed is the existing upholstered supporting base, so you would just need to supply your own standard 5' x 6'6'' or 150cm x 200cm mattress.
Measuring:
Headboard is 51 1/2'' or 132cm high to the top of the main panel
Footboard is 31 1/2'' or 80cm high
The maximum frame width is 62 3/4'' or 159cm
The maximum frame length is 83 3/4'' or 213cm
Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £75 +vat, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
