4 piece silver tea set Walker and Hall 1874.
An elegant solid silver 4 piece tea service manufactured by Walker and Hall and hallmarked for Sheffield 1874. The set comprises of Teapot, Coffee pot, cream jug and sugar bowl.
The marks for Walker and Hall are engraved on the underside of each piece.
The Sheffield silversmith on the hallmark is JEB for John Edward Bingham, who was a managing partner of Walker and Hall.
The set is very impressive being designed in the Georgian style, with floral decoration and beaded edges. The quality is enhanced with gilding to the interior, and two vacant oval cartouches to each piece.
It comes from an East Midlands family, having been passed down since new.
In very good condition for 150 years old, and being a used tea set.
The height of the coffee pot to the top of the handle is 20 cms or 8 inches.
Total gross weight of the complete set is 2184 grams.
